BJP Dominates Assam Panchayat Polls With Sweeping Victories Across State

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is heading for a decisive victory in the ongoing Assam Panchayat elections, with trends showing the party and its allies establishing an overwhelming lead across key rural governance bodies.
According to the latest updates, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading in 170 out of 397 Zila Parishad Constituencies (ZPC) and 480 of the 2,192 Anchalik Panchayat (AP) seats.
The BJP has made clean sweeps in districts like Golaghat, Majuli, and Aahotguri. In Golaghat, the party is ahead in several ZPC segments such as Tarani, Ratanpur, Watting, and Athkheliya.
