India steamroll Windies by an innings and 140 runs

Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav combined to rip through the West Indies batting order as India wrapped up the Ahmedabad Test inside one session on the third day, sealing a commanding victory by an innings and 140 runs on Saturday.
After declaring overnight with a 286-run lead, India needed just 45.1 overs to complete the demolition. Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah set the tone with disciplined opening spells, probing both edges with sharp movement off the pitch.
Openers Tagenarine Chanderpaul and John Campbell initially resisted, but Siraj’s short delivery brought the breakthrough. Chanderpaul mistimed a pull, only for Nitish Reddy to pull off a flying catch at short square leg in the eighth over.
Shubman Gill introduced Jadeja as early as the seventh over, and the move paid immediate dividends. Campbell flicked one straight to Sai Sudharsan at forward short leg, before Brandon King, after a few elegant drives, edged a turning delivery to KL Rahul at slip, leaving the visitors reeling at 34 for 3.
