The Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat has issued a formal communication to Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav over his public statement and related media reports alleging excessive expenditure on the renovation of the official residence of Speaker Vijender Gupta.
Sources said the matter has been referred to the Committee of Privileges by the Speaker, in view of the seriousness and potential breach of privilege caused by the unfounded and defamatory allegations.
