With PM on stage, CM Omar rakes up J-K's statehood issue

The CM expressed the hope that statehood will soon be restored to Jammu and Kashmir
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday raised the issue of restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and hoped that he will soon be promoted as chief minister of a full-fledged state.
Omar raised the issue while speaking at the event of flagging off of the maiden Vande Bharat train to the Kashmir valley from here. He expressed the hope that the statehood will soon be restored to J&K.
Omar said "I have been fortunate to be associated with the Prime Minister in all railway projects in J&K. First, when Anantnag Railway Station was inaugurated. Second, when the Banihal Railway Tunnel was inaugurated".
