State to achieve 7.5GW solar power by 2030: Dy CM Singhdeo

The state government is committed to achieve 7.5 GW of solar energy by 2030 as part of its renewable energy policy, said Deputy Chief Minister KV Singhdeo while addressing the Odisha Solar Investor Conclave here on Monday.
BHUBANESWAR, 23 DECEMBER:
The target 7.5 GW solar capacity by 2030 is part of the state's larger vision to add 10.95 GW of renewable energy capacity by the same year, he stated.
The conclave organised by GRIDCO Limited and iFOREST (International Forum for Environment Sustainability and Technology) witnessed participation of industrial consumers, solar developers and others to discuss the prospects of generating solar energy in the state.
Principal secretary, Vishal Kumar Dev, underscored the transformative energy transition taking place in the state.
