SBI Manager Transferred for Berating Kannada Customers and Insisted on Speaking in Hindi Only

The transfer of an SBI brand manager in Surya Nagara, who refused to speak in Kannada to scores of its customers of the bank in rural Anekal Taluk has been welcomed by Kannada activists and Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah on Saturday.
The video of this lady manager of State Bank of India aggressively dismissing the bank's Kannada customers, refusing to speak in Kannada or English, and showered disregard and disrespect to the citizens went viral and sparked off a huge furore with demands for punishing her.
Her actions, clearly violative of bank rules and regulations, shocked many Kannadigas and are considered part of a growing trend in the state, with bank employees and employees of central government offices refusing to speak to locals in their language and insisting on people learning Hindi.
