Naveen Patnaik Slams BJP Govt in Massive Show of Strength by BJD

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) staged a massive public gathering on Monday, its first major show of strength since the party's 2024 electoral setback, to deliver scathing criticism of the BJP-led state government and its failure to curb rising prices.
The event, attended by thousands of supporters, was a platform for BJD President Naveen Patnaik to lambast the BJP government, accusing it of failing the people of Odisha through "false promises" and mismanagement.
In his brief and spirited speech, Patnaik dubbed the BJP's "double engine" government a "double whammy" for the common man, citing skyrocketing prices, farmer suicides, and the crippling impact of GST.
"The foundation of this government was built on falsehood, and in just seven months, it has crumbled under its own weight," he declared.
Patnaik compared the BJP government to the mythical Kumbhakarna, accusing it of being in a "deep sleep" while people suffer.
