Dilip Ghosh set for key role as BJP prepares for Bengal Assembly polls

Former BJP state president Dilip Ghosh appears poised to play a major role in the party's campaign for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, marking what many see as a significant political comeback.
Despite the distance that had grown between him and sections of the state leadership in recent years, Ghosh continues to enjoy strong support from grassroots BJP workers and several RSS members, prompting the central leadership to bring him back to the forefront of Bengal politics.
The political temperature in the state is already running high with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls beginning this week, and Ghosh's reemergence has added a new dimension to Bengal's pre-poll scenario. Sources within the BJP indicate that the central leadership may assign him an important responsibility in the Assembly campaign.
