Delhi returnee tests Covid +Ve, no need to panic says govt

The state government advised people not to panic even as a fresh case of Covid 19 was detected on Thursday.
BHUBANESWAR, 22 MAY: The person, a 75-year-old, had a travel history and had returned from Delhi after visiting Haridwar and other places.
He has been admitted to a private hospital and is stable, officials said on Thursday, adding that he is a patient with comorbidity. It is after two and a half years that a fresh case has been reported in the state.
The vigilance wing on Thursday arrested Assistant Project Director, Watershed and three of his subordinates in Rayagada district for embezzling Rs 20 lakh Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (MGNREGA) funds.
The arrested officers did not excavate farm ponds under MGNREGA grants and deflected the sum by furnishing fake and fabricated bills.
