Judge on predator’s ‘concerted campaign of sexual assault’ across the city

VICTIMS of a sex predator - including an OAP out walking her dog, a mum-to-be and a woman grieving at a graveside - have told how their lives will never be the same after their horrific ordeals.

‘Laughing and smiling’ Duane Gardner cruised around the streets of Hanley, Etruria and Hartshill before targeting 11 victims in just three hours.

The Sentinel reported yesterday how Gardner, of Lorien Court, Hartshill Road, Hartshill, had been jailed for 21 years after pleading guilty to the sex assaults.

Prosecutor Adrian Keeling told the court: “He committed 11 nasty, serious sexual offences on complete strangers. All took place in broad daylight. It was a sustained attack of sexual assaults. Some of the victims have been left shocked and traumatised.
