Yob strangled relative during 'immature, violent trantrum'

Pair were arguing over a missing alcopop
'IMMATURE' Jack Stubbs who strangled a family member in a petty row about a fizzy drink has been spared jail.
The 23-year-old reacted after the victim became 'argumentative and aggressive'.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard he held her in a headlock which restricted her breathing and his mum had to separate the pair. Now Stubbs has been sentenced to 13 months in prison, suspended for 18 months.
Prosecutor Jillian Newton said the victim accused him of taking her drink from the fridge.
Miss Newton said: "He went to punch her. However, he desisted. He accepts an altercation took place which resulted in him holding her in a headlock.
