University's nursery wins national award
A UNIVERSITY's woodlands day nursery has scooped a major national award after being voted 'indoor learning environment of the year.
The annual event celebrates excellence across the UK early years sector and this award recognises the nursery environment that 'most inspires and excites children'.
Based at the University of Staffordshire's Stoke-on-Trent campus, the Woodlands Day Nursery is a sustainable, net zero carbon building surrounded by woodland and a nearby nature reserve.
It provides a 'fun and nurturing' early years environment with flexible learning spaces, and a team that supports and encourages children to thrive.
