Her third offence of violence against police
AN OUT-OF-CONTROL woman punched and kicked a police officer in a drunken rage.
Joanne Stanners lost her temper after 'drinking in excess' with her partner - and when police turned up the 42-year-old turned violent.
Prosecutor Jo Fox told magistrates it happened on September 3, adding: "We accept that the defendant was having some form of a mental health episode. That should be taken into account.
"There was clearly some sort of history between the defendant and the complainant who called the police. But there were punches and kicks thrown at the arresting officer which left him in pain for six hours."
