PASSENGERS demanding the reinstatement of a Sunday train service handed over a petition to their MP so it could be presented in parliament.
Congleton has a population of 30,000 and averages 25 passengers for every train that stops at Congleton Station.
But it has not had a Sunday train service between Stoke and Manchester for 12 months. Instead it has six rail replacement buses every Sunday - and journeys can take twice as long.
