'WE ARE ON A TITLE CHARGE

Nothing less than silverware will do for the Valiants players who have won four League Two matches in a row and watched their rivals falter.

Striker Stockley reckons the atmosphere is buoyant at the club and ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Carlisle United, the players are on a mission.

Vale could secure automatic promotion on Monday at home to Grimsby Town depending on other results, most of which have gone their way in recent weeks.

It’s an exciting time for Stockley and his team-mates and he said: “It’s a feeling of great satisfaction at the moment because joining the club in the summer was about having a season that really meant something. That was why a lot of players joined this football club because they saw the vision from the manager and the chairman and it’s a fantastic feeling for us to have something to fight for.
