'Very low' number of taxpayers log on to view council meetings

PLANS to explore broadcasting more council meetings at Stoke-on-Trent City Council have been delayed after councillors criticised a report as 'not good.
The report was meant to set out the costs and feasibility of expanding the live streaming service.
Currently the council only live streams three council meetings - full council, cabinet and planning committee meetings.
Only 30 free hours of streaming are available a year under the contract with Public-i.
Any extra hours would need to be paid on a pay as you go basis, with estimates of £37.50 charged as an hourly rate.
