Great British Menu contender Thom names new venture after his mum
RENOWNED chef Thom Bateman has set his stall out to provide great pizza - as he prepares to launch at a town's indoor market.
The talented chef, who has appeared on BBC's Great British Menu, will open Nanny J's at Leek's revamped Trestle and Butter Markets, pictured.
The arrival completes a hat-trick for council officials with the three new units now filled.
Thom is well known across the country - especially in North Staffordshire where he runs Après by Thom Bateman and The Flintlock in Cheddleton.
