CLIVE MYRIE'S AFRICAN ADVENTURE, BBC2, 6.30PM IT'S not quite a Clive Myrie theme night, but he does pop up twice this evening on BBC2. At 7.30pm, he hosts the last in the current run of Celebrity Mastermind (including ex-England footballer Stuart Pearce on punk rock), but first he begins his latest travelogue, taking him back to where he worked as the BBC's correspondent 20 years ago.
Starting in Soweto, it's a series that strikes a good balance, reflecting on the country's complex history but with lots of lighter moments. So if you're worried we'll miss out on, say, Clive being taught how to dance like a cat in a car wash, you needn't be.
THE VICAR OF DIBLEY, U&GOLD, 8PM YOU might not consider The Vicar Of Dibley a topical sitcom, but it was when it started in 1994. The Church of England had just begun allowing women priests, and writer Richard Curtis saw tons of comedy mileage in the idea of a sleepy village having to adjust.
