Residents out in force to protest over homes plan
FIGHT: One of the banners in Norton Green.
HUNDREDS of people have turned out to object to plans for more than 3,000 houses in the Green Belt.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is consulting on the draft local plan, which proposes a total of 3,097 homes in Norton Green.
The homes are planned on two sites either side of the area and there are fears that if developed it would fundamentally change the character of the area.
The council held a public consultation on the plans this week at Heakley Hall Farm where people could talk to planning officers and raise their concerns.
