IT'S the final weekend of the North Staffs and South Cheshire League season - and there's plenty of issues up for grabs. CHRIS TRAVERS looks at the talking points...

There's highs and lows in prospect as outcomes are on the line for NSSCL sides

The fixture planner deserves a medal for leaving us with some intriguing games on the final day of the Premier A season.

Stone SP and Leek are battling for the title... while Bagnall Norton and Porthill Park are fighting to stay up. And, as luck would have it, for the neutral at least, they are playing each other this weekend.

Stone SP and Leek both lost rain-affected matches last time out, but the bonus points earned enabled the former to take over at the top.

They are three points clear of Leek and make the trip to take on Bagnall Norton.

Bagnall Norton dropped into the bottom two last Saturday after being defeated by Longton.

However, they are just three points shy of salvation heading into the last 90 overs of the season.

Porthill Park exited the relegation places after winning at home against already-relegated Alsager.

But Louis Allison’s side face a tough task to make that final step to safety as they head to Leek.

There will be eyes on both matches throughout the afternoon - but there's even more permutations.

If Bagnall Norton and Porthill Park both win, that drags Moddershall & Oulton and Longton into the relegation equation.

The Modd men head to Alsager, while Longton are visiting Meakins.

As long as the weather plays ball, it promises to be a cracking final day.
