CRICKET: Oakamoor fourths claimed a narrow three-run success against Cheadle 4th Xl in NSSCL Division Eight.
Oakamoor managed to reach 187 all out early on, mainly thanks to Sydney Brindley’s 38 and 33 from Mark Fallows. William Blood captured 5-32 for Cheadle and there were a couple of wickets for Jamie Bratt.
In reply, hosts Cheadle saw Harris Clowes top-score with 67 and Chris Prince add 50. However, three wickets apiece for George Bradburn (3-31) and Alfie Harvey (3-40) ensured Cheadle fell short on 184-9.
