WOLSTANTON United secured a 3-2 win at Leek Town in the Staffs County Senior League Premier Division.

- Chris Jackson

Pete Ford, above, opened the scoring in the 40th minute to give Stant the advantage.

Five minutes into the second half, Callum Tunstall added a second for the team from Newcastle borough but Wes Latocha’s hosts hit back shortly after the hour with a Alexander Draycott strike to reduce the arrears.

Rich Smith then restored Stant’s two goal margin with a goal on 75 minutes with Latocha’s side adding a second just two minutes from time courtesy of Harry Hodgkinson.

Keiran Mear's AFC Crewe side defeated a visiting Milton United team, coached by Dave Ottley, 5-2 which moved the South Cheshire outfit up to sixth in the standings.

Steve Hulme’s young Newcastle Town side stunned their Derbyshire visitors Ashbourne 3-1 when the sides clashed on the new 4G facility at Roe Lane in the Westlands.

Town had Harrison Hulme, Ricardo Gordon and David Hurst all on target in the first half with Jake Ridley scoring what turned out to be a consolation goal for the travelling Shrovetiders.
