Special guests as pub reopens after $500k makeover

DINERS are tucking into tasty meals again following a village venue's £500,000 transformation.
Toby Carvery at The Plough, in Leek Road, Endon, has been painted and decorated throughout.
Staff say they have been 'overwhelmed' by the renovation, which also includes a function room for private events such as corporate meetings, weddings, christenings and baby showers. There's also a buffet option.
A new walk-in fridge freezer has been installed in the upstairs kitchen along with ovens, racking and spruced up decor. In addition to carveries, The Plough's food options include Yorkie wraps, sandwiches, caramelised onion and shallot tart, cheesy mushrooms, and vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian options.
General manager Sam Jones said: "I'm really happy with it and I'm so proud of what's been achieved. They've done really well in the timeframe they had to get everything done. The backbench is completely new and lots of the chairs have been upholstered. The flooring is new throughout, except for the tiles by the bar.
