Young midfielder Sidibe says he has been honoured to play for Potters after sealing PSV transfer

- Keith Wales

SOL BIDS FAREWELL TO CITY

SOL Sidibe has sent an emotional message to Stoke City supporters after leaving the club to join PSV Eindhoven for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year-old son of Stoke hero Mama Sidibe has agreed a four-year contract with the Dutch champions after coming through the Potters' academy.

And taking to Instagram shortly after the move was announced, the French-born England youth international, pictured, posted: "It's very hard to find the right words, but the time has come for me to say goodbye to the club that raised me, that has always been more than a football club for me, my family away from home.

"It has been an absolute honour to play for Stoke and represent this city.

"It is something that I had dreamed of at a young age and I am so grateful that I got to do it on numerous occasions.
