Restaurant reopens following makeover
The Sentinel
|August 05, 2025
STUNNED staff are enjoying the new look of their restaurant following a makeover.
Ego, in Stockton Brook, has retained its Mediterranean themed decor but an expanded bar means it can seat another 30 guests. The Stanley Road venue reopened on Friday, having closed for the work on July 7.
The expansion means 130 diners can enjoy their visit during its opening hours, with the Mediterranean-inspired renovation matching its menu. Staff were 'shocked' at how different it now looks. Deputy manager Ashleigh Clay, who has worked at Ego for nine years, says she's 'really proud' of the work the Mitchells and Butlers owned restaurant has undergone.
