PERSONALLY SPEAKING
IMAGINE the scene... You're unfortunate enough to be in hospital about to undergo a procedure.
Attired in a hospital gown, you're anxious - sometimes as much about that awful backless garment as the tubes and needles - and it’s safe to say you probably don’t look your best.
What do you do? Lie back and try to relax? Engage in a little light banter with staff or fellow patients to take the edge off the anxiety? Open a magazine to distract yourself?
Or think ‘this will make great content for my social media pages, whip out your phone and film what's going on around you?
Now call me old fashioned but Iand I suspect you, dear reader - are not entirely in the latter camp.
I can’t imagine anything worse than broadcasting my colonoscopy or adventures in A&E to the world.
