They sneaked up on victim then punched and kicked him
TWO men have been jailed after a man was wounded in a horrific vigilante axe attack.
A court heard Lewis Tether was angry after his £6,500 quad bike was stolen. He believed a man in Biddulph had taken it and he, together with Samuel Clarke and another man, went after him.
They chased the man and his friends and caught up with the victim where Clarke approached him and said: “Get on your knees bruv, I am here for the blue quad”.
Tether arrived wielding an axe and hit the victim eight times to his head, back and ribs. He kicked the victim once and punched him once. Clarke kicked him once and punched him four times.
He noticed the incident was being captured by a Ring doorbell and discarded the weapon to the floor, a court heard.
The victim suffered a 4-5cm wound to the back of his head, swelling to his scalp and bruising to his head. His attackers were identified from CCTV.
Now Tether, aged 26, has been jailed for four years and 25-year-old Clarke locked up for three years and nine months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
