Police had objected to firm's previous application
A DETACHED five-bed house will be turned into a children's home after a second application was given the go-ahead.
The property in Queens Court Road, Basford, will be converted into a children's residential care home for up to three youngsters aged between five and 18.
The applicant, Hope Children's Care Limited, had previously had plans to turn the property into a children's home rejected by the city council after Staffordshire Police objected. Another proposal for a four-bed children's home in the same street by the same applicant was also refused for the same reasons.
