A PRIMARY school teacher has swapped the classroom for her own business - a ‘story village’ play area.
Kayren Clarkson says launching her very own children’s indoor play centre has been ‘challenging but rewarding’
The mum-of-two set up Once Upon a Time Staffordshire in Bellerton Lane, Norton, in January after deciding to switch careers to balance work and family life.
After brainstorming ideas with husband Matthew Clarkson, owner of Kraft Interiors, the 34-year-old decided to take the plunge.
Kayren, of Biddulph, said: “I've always worked with children. But my new family responsibilities mean that teaching just wasn’t right for me anymore.
“Then a new industrial unit became available on Bellerton Lane next to where my husband works.
“He said that we should make something of it.
