Firm’s revolutionary product ‘can help to slash energy bills crippling industry’

- Sentinel Reporter

A REVOLUTIONARY new clay made in Stoke-on-Trent will help slash soaring energy costs that are devastating the industry.

Valentine Clays has invested decades of research and development to create LoStone - a pioneering stoneware clay that works to substantially lower firing temperatures.

It’s a major milestone for the company which is now gearing up for national and international expansion.

The new product enables potters to fire up their imagination, without having to power up kilns, offering significant creativity and sustainability advantages.

It comes as research shows pottery firms are spending £875 million a year in UK energy costs.

That compares with a £330 million energy bill across the UK ceramics sector in 2020.
