Potters continue to fly high in the Championship, but boss Robins wants to hit greater heights

'MORE TO COME FROM US'

Stoke City celebrate Sorba Thomas' winner against Wrexham.

MARK Robins says Stoke City have plenty to improve on - a fact that excites him as his side sit third in the Championship table after ten games.

A goal from Sorba Thomas in the first half was enough to secure what in truth was a more comfortable victory than the scoreline suggested against newly-promoted Wrexham.

Stoke had more possession, more shots, more on target and other than one Ryan Longman miss, barely gave the visitors a sniff.

The Potters manager admits there is work to be done in terms of more goal threat - but is optimistic that will come.

"I thought we played alright to be fair, I think giving up that chance in the first half where they missed it, you feel a little bit relieved that they didn't take that because it was gilt-edged open goal that they missed," said Robins.
