DARREN Moore is delighted with the new group of players he has brought to Port Vale and admitted it has been “another overhaul.”

Moore ponders line-up in the search for first league victory

That has come about with the introduction of 12 new players - only a couple less than last summer.

With his team ready to take on Leyton Orient, tomorrow, Moore is keen to unleash his new-look team into battle in the search for League One points.

Deciding who to play will be key but he is pleased to have a variety of options. Ben Garrity and Jayden Stockley remain out injured even though Moore revealed both men are back in training.

“I’m pleased now the window has closed and it’s just about getting to work and looking forward to the season,” said Moore in his pre-match press conference.

“We've had those six games. I think we have identified we can cope at this level.

“I think that’s there for all to see and what we have to do is just cut out the basic, elementary lapses of concentration and be more ruthless when we get teams in the positions we do get them in and convert the chances. What's gone is gone. We get together now and we look forward to playing Leyton Orient.”
