Leek will have to show grit this winter, says Brehaut

The Sentinel

October 16, 2025

JOSH Brehaut has told his players they are in for a scrap in the next couple of months.

The Leek Town manager saw his team lose 1-0 to Lancaster when they were moments away from earning a point.

It wasn’t a pretty game but then not many are when you need points.

“I said after the game to the players, because the game wasn’t a great spectacle, ‘get used to it, the next few months we are going to have a multitude of games that are going to be like that.’

“They aren’t going to be great to watch, or play in, like with fluid football and executing all of the attacking patterns we want to try and demonstrate, to cause the opposition the problems we know we can do.
