New factory shop opens at iconic Royal Stafford site
A NEW factory shop selling discounted mugs and tableware has opened up in Burslem.
It comes after the collapse of pottery giant Royal Stafford earlier this year. TG Green took on the firm's factory in March, along with 17 of its workers.
Now, general manager Paul Burston believes the new Cornishware factory shop, on Wedgwood Place, will serve as a great addition to Stoke-on-Trent's high street and cultural image. Customers have already flown in from countries like Ireland and the Netherlands just to pay a visit.
Paul, of Leek, said: "We wanted to open a factory shop in Stoke-on-Trent, as we know it's an important part of the city's heritage. Having this shop helps to keep that image of the Potteries going.
