JAYDEN Stockley admits he has been frustrated by his 'slow start' to the season with Port Vale which has seen him play less than 90 minutes in League One.
The big striker was substituted at halftime in the opening game at Rotherham and returned in the league as a 62nd-minute replacement at home to Northampton Town last weekend. A 70th-minute substitute appearance against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup and a first start of the campaign in Tuesday's 2-0 victory at Accrington Stanley in the Vertu Trophy are his only other involvements.
He hasn't scored a goal either and is ready to make up for lost time and hopes to be involved as the Valiants take on AFC Wimbledon in south London tomorrow, scene of his memorable goal last season when Vale clinched promotion from League Two.
"It's been a slow start to the season for me," Stockley said in the club's press conference.
