Villagers hit out as details emerge of plans for 138 homes
DETAILED plans have come forward for 138 new homes in a rural North Staffordshire village after residents lost their battle to stop the development.
Shropshire Homes won its appeal against Newcastle Borough Council this year after the authority refused to grant planning permission for up to 150 homes at Loggerheads.
Councillors blocked the proposals, earmarked for land north of Mucklestone Wood Lane and east of Rock Lane, because of concerns about limited public transport and impact on the countryside and the Grade-II listed White House Farm. But a planning inspector overturned the decision.
