Organisers want to trace families of all the heroes to invite them to the unveiling on Sunday, November 16.

Researchers have been tracing the life stories of the 59 fallen - often using The Sentinel as source material. It includes the tale of one woman, Winnie Elsmore, originally from Wolstanton, who served with The Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI) as a manageress in Blackpool.
