Two-year-old child was sleeping upstairs

- Sentinel Reporter

MONKEY dust user Sarah Plant walked into a house twice in the early hours of the morning to steal money and tobacco.

The 43-year-old saw the door was unlocked and entered the property while three people, including a young child, were asleep inside.

She stole £7 from a purse, some Rizla papers and tobacco. Now she has been sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for 18 months, at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

Prosecutor Barry White said a woman and her child were asleep in their Hanley home in the early hours of May 26 and an adult was asleep downstairs.

Mr White said: “The front door was unlocked due to a difficulty.
