Hero police save overdose victims with special spray

Scheme follows £5.3m funding
TWO police officers used a 'lifesaving spray' to help an overdosing man and woman.
PC Tara Millard and Sergeant Richard Callaghan used naloxone, a nasal spray that can help save those who have overdosed on heroin or other synthetic opioids. It was recently introduced for use by Staffordshire Police.
It comes after Stoke-on-Trent City Council had been allocated £5.3 million in Government funding to boost substance misuse services.
