At the risk of turning today's page into Handy Hints For A Happier Life (although, come to think of it, that wouldn't be a bad idea), I must just share this useful tip from Prof.
Tim Spector, featured in the last part of this series.Tim's advice relates to bread and its starchy carb content, which can trigger an unhealthy reaction.
His suggestion, if you ultimately plan to toast it, is to keep it in the freezer - because bread that's toasted from frozen apparently gives you up to 40% less of a sugar spike. And sugar spikes, remember, are bad for you. Not as bad as metal ones, but bad enough.
