Firm will get £50k to fund business case

COUNCIL bosses have agreed to sign an 'exclusivity agreement' for a major housing development in Stoke-on-Trent.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has been looking to redevelop derelict land off Pyenest Street in Shelton with new homes for about a decade.
Plans for 141 houses and flats on the site were submitted last year but a lack of council funds means private investment will be 'critical' if the scheme is to go ahead.
Director of housing, regeneration and operations Carol Gibbs has now approved the decision to enter into an exclusivity agreement for the site with Salford-based Placefirst Limted.
