YOBS are running riot at a sports ground after police kicked troublemakers out of a town centre.

They have damaged the allweather pitch at Knypersley Sports and Social Club, in Tunstall Road, destroyed goalposts and ripped open fencing. Now an online appeal to try to pay for repairs has collected about £1,000.
Biddulph Town chairman Ben Carr, aged 37, said: “There seem to be a lot of problems at the football club lately because the police have stopped trouble-making kids going into the town centre.
“That's fantastic for the town centre but it just moves one problem into another place. So now they’re coming here instead.
