Driver smashed into £11k BMW after row in pub's beer garden

Weapons brandished as groups clashed

DANGEROUS driver Ethol Price rammed a BMW after 'rival groups' clashed in a pub beer garden row involving weapons.

The 33-year-old got into his van to leave The Grapes, in Newchapel, after a knife was brandished.

But when someone in the rival group threw an object at his van he deliberately drove into the £11,000 BMW which it is believed was written-off.

It comes as Price had also stolen a catalytic converter from a car, on Nash Peake Street, in Tunstall, and made a false statement or withheld information to take out car insurance on 167 occasions.
