Dog owners tell of horror after pet mauled in street by 'XL Bully'

'IT COULD HAVE KILLED HIM': Paul Ogden's dog Max following the attack. Inset, with Willow.

A DOG was y mauled by an 'XL bully' in a horrifying street attack in Stoke-on-Trent.

Paul Ogden was walking his two pets in Anchor Street, Longton, when the dog launched a frenzied attack on Max, his 13-year-old Jack Russell.

It left the dog bruised and swollen, with cuts on his ear.

Mr Ogden had been enjoying his usual 5.30pm stroll with Max and his three-year-old Pomeranian poodle, Willow, when the other dog, described as being like an XL Bully with a grey coat and white facial markings, struck.

It happened on November 3, just two weeks before a 'Pitbull-type' animal matching the description carried out another attack, between nearby Speedwall Street and Albert Street, on November 21.
