Jail for men, 20 and 22, who were trying to clear a drug debt
TWO drug dealers have been jailed after police stopped their car for having no lights on.
Twenty-year-old Fizaan Rasool ran off but was soon detained and a search revealed he had packets of cannabis and cocaine.
The car was searched and police found two phones and £440 which belonged to the driver, 22-year-old Kasim Molloy-Khan. Both men admitted dealing drugs to repay a drug debt. Now Rasool has been locked up for 22 months and Molloy-Khan was jailed for 20 months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Prosecutor David Farley said police stopped a Nissan Qashqai after they saw it being driven on Lower Milehouse Road, Newcastle, with the headlights turned off and a defective brake light at 12.30am on December 28.
The officer could smell cannabis. Molloy-Khan was driving and Rasool was in the back seat. A third man, Umayr Mahmood, was the front seat passenger.
