D-day looming for 'enterprise' units in town car park

A COUNCIL's £1.5 million plan to build enterprise units on a car park site look set to be approved.

Newcastle Borough Council wants to use part of Kidsgrove's £16.9 million Town Deal for the proposed development in Meadows Road.

The council originally wanted to use the Government funding to build a 'shared services hub' on the car park, but these plans were scrapped after partners pulled out. Council leaders have now agreed revised proposals which would see three small business units constructed instead.
