Officials recommend approval of development
A HISTORIC former mill looks set to be converted into 17 apartments - despite objections.
The Grade II-listed Well Street Mill, near Leek town centre, dates back to about 1865. It has previously been used as accommodation for Alton Towers workers.
Previous plans to convert it into homes were approved in 2018, but never came to fruition.
The latest proposals would see the two buildings converted into 17 flats. There would be 10 one-bedroom units, six two-bedroom units and a studio flat.
