Council calls for a decision on HS2 future

It comes after work has been 'paused'
A COUNCIL has called for clarity on the future of HS2, after Phase One of the project was paused last month.
Staffordshire County Council leader Ian Cooper has written to Rail Minister Lord Hendy asking for:
■ A statement on the timescales for the completion of Phase One;
■ Completion or rectification of all outstanding work in the county;
■ A definitive statement on the cancelled status of Phase 2a.
