BUSY Ethan Chislett was a key element in Port Vale's team even though Darren Moore was later proven not to be convinced.

Chizzy gets busy to sink the Spireites!

As a former defender the Vale boss was more about the team than individual flair.

Chislett had refused to accept the plaudits for his excellent performance against Chesterfield and, ironically, went with the Moore mantra. “It’s all about the team,” he told the club's website.

The 26-year-old had scored the crucial winner and was chief irritator to the visiting defence with his trickery and purpose.

Thanks to his goal, the club moved up to eighth in the League Two table.

Chislett reckoned the link-up of team-mates was helping results.

He spoke of the balance in the team, such as George Byers and Ben Garrity, Jesse Debrah and Connor Hall, himself and Kyle John - all complementing each other.

The important thing from Moore's point of view was he - and everybody else - was getting to know his preferred team.

Initially we thought Ruari Paton was his main preference at centre-forward with Ronan Curtis providing the ammunition.

Now it was Jayden Stockley with Benicio Baker-Boaitey delivering the crosses.

Lorent Tolaj and Chislett had been superb in what had become a potent attacking four and Garrity and Byers had been the engine room in midfield.

Interestingly, following the tippy-tappy passing out from the back under Andy Crosby the previous year, Vale were finding that a 'measured' route one ball from keeper Connor Ripley was effective.
