Capsule set to spill its secrets - exactly 100 years since it was buried at hospital during George V's visit to Potteries

A CENTURY-OLD time capsule unearthed by staff working at the former North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary is to be opened today as part of Stoke-on-Trent's centenary celebrations.
The lead box, buried during King George V's visit on June 5, 1925, was discovered in 2018 - six years after the hospital's closure. It was located behind a foundation stone laid by the monarch - great-grandfather to King Charles - during his visit to the Potteries to grant city status and the infirmary its royal decree.
Now the box's secrets are to be revealed as Stoke-on-Trent marks its big birthday.
